Start with the right airports

Philippine trips can involve several useful gateways. Manila is the largest hub, while Cebu, Clark and regional airports can make some itineraries much simpler. Search the airport that fits the whole route, not only the cheapest first flight.

• Check whether a nearby regional airport saves a long land transfer.
• Leave realistic connection time when changing terminals or airlines.
• For island trips, keep the last day less crowded when possible.

Compare more than the headline price

A low fare can stop being a good deal once baggage, seat selection or an inconvenient schedule is added. Use the result as a starting point and check the provider's current fare conditions before paying.

• Confirm cabin and baggage allowance.
• Check whether the itinerary is direct or includes stops.
• Review change and cancellation conditions on the provider site.

Domestic island routes

For trips such as Manila to Cebu, Boracay, Bohol or Palawan, flight times can determine how much of the arrival day is actually usable. An early flight may cost more but save a hotel night that feels wasted in transit.

International connections

When a trip starts in the Philippines and continues abroad, compare the total journey instead of only the first segment. Overnight connections, airport changes and separate tickets can change the real cost and risk of the itinerary.
